Youth unemployment in the MENA region is a growing crisis, with rates surpassing 27% and peaking at 79.7% in areas like Gaza. Yet, this region holds a wealth of untapped talent in digital marketing, software development, and sales.
In October 2024, we had the pleasure of speaking with MENA Impact's founder Nadine Zidani about our collaboration, and we’re excited to share the key takeaways with you.
At TAP, in collaboration with MENA Impact, we’re turning potential into opportunity. By connecting global companies with skilled remote workers from Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon, we’re not just closing employment gaps—we’re building bridges to sustainable growth and a brighter future for all.
1. Unlocking global potential with remote hiring
As remote work becomes the norm, companies are no longer confined to local talent pools. The MENA region’s youth are educated, motivated, and ready to contribute to digital marketing, sales, and software development. TAP’s partnership with MENA Impact has helped international businesses find remote digital marketers and developers who deliver results. Companies benefit from cost-effective hiring while supporting social impact initiatives.

2. The power of green skills for a sustainable future
Sustainability isn’t just a trend—it’s the future of business. Businesses need talent equipped with green skills to thrive in a world prioritizing environmental responsibility. Through MENA Impact’s “Introduction to Corporate Sustainability” course, TAP’s digital marketing cohort gained foundational sustainability knowledge.
According to Nadine Zidani, Founder and CEO of MENA Impact, “This is where we see an opportunity with the amazing work that TAP is doing with youth in the MENA region—we see an opportunity to plug in foundational sustainability skills that are going to propel youth in terms of expertise but also find amazing job opportunities to thrive in”
3. Bridging talent and sustainability across MENA
The region’s potential is significant. With impact investing reaching $1.571 trillion USD globally in 2024 but MENA representing only 2%, there’s a clear opportunity for growth. TAP graduates, equipped with this training, are well-positioned to support businesses integrating sustainable practices.
Nadine also shared, "I was very pleased to see the curiosity and to see that immediately all the TAPers made the connection between the work they are doing in digital marketing and sustainability, they saw very quickly that it's essential for them to apply the sustainability skills in their future job".
The results speak for themselves: a 100% satisfaction rate among participants, seven hires within weeks, and a workforce ready to make sustainability a competitive advantage.
Conclusion
Job seekers with sustainability expertise are 29% more likely to secure employment, and with the impact investing market soaring to $1.571 trillion USD in 2024, it's undeniable, that these skills are no longer optional; they're essential for thriving in today's market. Investing in MENA talent isn't just strategic—it's transformative. By partnering with TAP, you're not only gaining access to skilled, motivated professionals who excel in digital marketing, sales, and software development, but you're also driving real social impact.
